Provincial Three Peaks Challenge

A sponsored walk organised by the

Province of Yorkshire, West Riding

in aid of the 2017 RMBI Festival

On Saturday 21st May, 2016 The Province of Yorkshire West Riding is organising a sponsored walk in what many consider the most beautiful part of our Province, The Yorkshire Three Peaks. The Yorkshire Three Peaks is a very well known 24 mile perambulation of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The support for the walk is minimal and hikers are expected to be self-sufficent throughout the day. This date was chosen as it is outside any of the Bank Holidays and at a time of year when the hours of daylight are long. Hikers are expected to have good equipment, be physically fit and able to endure inclement weather, should this arise. A usual time to complete this challenge is 10 hours, with the aim to finish it before 12 hours. In fact 8 hours is considered a fast time.

The event is open to anyone. Freemasons, their partners, family and friends are all welcome to join us on the walk. There is an entry fee of 10 per person which goes towards the cost of running the event. All monies raised will go towards the RMBI 2017 Festival.
